Self-test for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid antigens in anterior nasal swab specimens.

The SARS-CoV-2 Antigen Rapid Test is a lateral flow test for the qualitative detection of the nucleocapsid antigen from SARS-CoV-2 in anterior nasal swab specimens directly from individuals suspected of COVID-19 within the first seven days of the onset of symptoms. The test can also test specimens from individuals without symptoms. It does not differentiate between SARS-CoV and SARS-CoV-2.

Q: Can I self-collect the sample?
A: A nasal swab sample can be self-collected by individuals aged 18 and older. For children under 18, the sample should be collected under adult supervision. Please follow your local guidelines for specimen collection by children.

Q: Do I need to report the test result to the NHS?
A: The NHS only accepts results or QR codes from NHS-supplied tests.

Q: Will a certificate be provided after the test?
A: No certificate is provided after the test. You can report your results according to local rules or consult the seller.

Q: How many drops of the processed specimen are needed for a valid result?
A: Add 4 drops of the processed specimen to the specimen well to obtain a valid result.

Q: What if the test result is positive?
A: A positive result means it is very likely that you have COVID-19 because proteins from the virus that causes COVID-19 were found in your sample. You should contact a healthcare provider for medical advice about your positive result. Your healthcare provider will work with you to determine the infection status and the best way to treat it.

Q: What if the test result is negative?
A: A negative result indicates that antigens from the virus that causes COVID-19 were not found in your sample, meaning you likely do not have COVID-19. However, if you continue to experience symptoms such as fever, cough, and/or shortness of breath, you should seek follow-up care with your healthcare provider. They will consider the test result along with your medical history (including symptoms, possible exposures, and recent travel) to determine the best course of action. Your provider may suggest additional testing to confirm whether you have contracted the virus. It's important to work with your healthcare provider to understand the next steps
